Liz Hamilton
Psychotherapist
Liz is a highly experienced and fully accredited psychotherapist and advanced neurofeedback practitioner, renowned for her integrative and client-centred approach. She holds a degree-level qualification in psychotherapy and groupwork, equipping her with a deep understanding of both individual and relational dynamics in therapeutic settings. With a commitment to providing tailored, evidence-based care, Liz combines ILF Neurofeedback (ILF NFB) with a range of psychotherapeutic modalities to create personalised treatment plans that meet each client’s unique needs.
A qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapist, Liz is also Level 3 qualified in both The Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). These advanced trauma-focused modalities allow her to work at a deep neurological level, supporting clients in processing attachment wounds, developmental trauma, and other complex psychological challenges in a safe and structured way.
Before establishing her private practice over nine years ago, Liz worked extensively in domestic abuse and addiction services, supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging circumstances. She now specialises in working with people who have witnessed or experienced traumatic events, whether these are single-incident traumas or multiple, cumulative adversities spanning from childhood into adulthood.
A passionate advocate for holistic healing, Liz believes in addressing the interconnectedness of body, brain, and mind. She recognises that no single therapeutic approach fits all, which is why she integrates ILF NFB, CBT, CRM, DBR, and other interventions to meet each person where they are in their healing journey. Her ability to blend neuroscience, somatic work, and psychotherapy enables her to offer highly effective, transformative care.
Those who have worked with Liz often describe her as patient, compassionate, and highly attuned, creating an environment of trust and safety where clients feel deeply heard and supported.
Beyond her clinical work, Liz is also dedicated to empowering professionals in high-stress roles. She has designed and delivered stress awareness and resilience workshops for organisations, particularly focusing on frontline care staff, helping them develop sustainable strategies for mental well-being and burnout prevention.
Liz continues to stay at the forefront of trauma-informed practice, regularly engaging in professional development and training to ensure she brings the most advanced and effective therapeutic approaches to her clients.
